The free Birth Pattern, I Ching, Journal and limited Personal Reading preview work primarily in your browser. Birth information stays in the browser; Birth Pattern calculations and teaser selection run locally. No AI service receives birth details from these free tools.

YAO has no advertising pixels, does not sell personal data and does not send birth details, I Ching questions or journal entries to advertising analytics. First-party measurement records only an event name, timestamp, controlled campaign source, public landing-page category, referrer category, and a random anonymous session identifier. It does not store birth details, charts, report text, full URLs, IP addresses, emails, or device fingerprints in the event store. Ordinary hosting logs are separate.

A current reading uses temporary tab storage (sessionStorage). You choose whether to save it in the Journal’s local browser storage (localStorage). Saved entries remain until you delete them or clear the browser’s site data. Browser tab restoration may restore temporary readings. This is not cloud sync, and another person using your browser profile could open the Journal.

You can clear saved Journal entries, use “Forget current reading” to remove the temporary copy, or clear your browser’s site data. A saved report contains birth details; its separate share card does not. Copies you download remain under your control.

Ordinary website requests

The hosting provider receives ordinary website requests. These may include your IP address, browser and device request metadata, and ordinary server request logs. Birth details are not placed in page URLs.

Contacting YAO by email shares the email address and information you choose to include with YAO and the email service handling the conversation.

Payments, when enabled

Checkout is temporarily unavailable while payment integration is being finalized. When checkout is enabled, payment is handled on Dodo Payments' hosted checkout. Read Dodo's Privacy Policy.

Dodo may process your name, email, billing and payment information, transaction status, and information needed for fraud prevention or compliance. YAO does not receive your full card number. The payment provider may add receipt identifiers and the purchase email to its return URL; YAO removes return parameters from browser history and does not use them as proof of payment.

Birth details will not be placed in payment notes or advertising analytics. The free preview does not create a paid order, receipt or purchase entitlement.

Personal Reading fulfilment, when enabled

Birth date, birth time if known, birthplace label, time zone, chart and report text remain in your browser. Before checkout the browser sends YAO a fingerprint of the input, which the server protects with a secret key before saving. Dodo receives only a random YAO order identifier in metadata, without birth details, input fingerprints, chart information or report text.

YAO's private cloud order store keeps that protected input fingerprint, a protected purchase-email fingerprint, payment and checkout identifiers, product, amount, currency, order binding, webhook receipt digests and refund or dispute state. Purchase recovery sends the necessary receipt email and reference to YAO for verification; the email is not stored in plain text in this order store. YAO will not sell personal information or use birth details for advertising profiling.

The browser saves the original birth input and purchase reference locally so you can reopen a verified report. Another browser requires your receipt and the original input. Clearing site data removes this local copy; downloaded files stay under your control. Cloud order and fulfilment information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for delivery, support, legal, tax, fraud-prevention, and accounting obligations.

Optional measurement and email preferences

The anonymous session stays in this tab for up to 24 hours. Campaign labels help distinguish sources such as search, a shared link, or X. Unknown labels are grouped rather than stored as free text. We do not combine these events with advertising profiles. You can opt out below; Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control also disable browser measurement.

Successful purchase counts are verified against Dodo and necessary order records. A protected reference prevents counting the same checkout or payment twice; the event value contains no receipt, email, or birth input. Purchases without a recorded source remain unattributed. Refunds and disputes are excluded from the active paid-customer goal.

If you explicitly opt in, YAO privately stores only your email, consent, submission time, controlled source, and result type. This is separate from anonymous events and does not store your Birth Pattern. Email report delivery is not yet available; saving a preference does not send an email or create a cloud copy of your result. You can unsubscribe below without signing in, or contact support.

Raw anonymous events are removed after 90 days by the operations reporting process; aggregate counts may remain. Consenting email preferences remain until you unsubscribe or request deletion. The operations export is private, not part of the public site or review screenshots.

Privacy questions and deletion requests

Use the Contact page for privacy questions or requests concerning information held by YAO. Browser-local entries must be removed on the device where they are saved. Deletion requests for order records will be considered alongside any records that must be retained under applicable obligations.
